- Because the people setting the prices on everything (including their own level of profits) do not want anything changed. It took tens of millions of dollars to get the industry shaped to their liking. They see all of these bribes as an investment in their line-of-business.

- Because the people setting the prices including their own profits don't want change. A bankrupted Nation is just a cost of doing Business!
